Annegret Soltau

Born 1971 in Lüneburg, Germany
Lives and works in Darmstadt, Germany

After studying at the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Hamburg with Hans Thiemann, Kurt Kranz, Rudolf Hausner, Alan Jones and David Hockney, she was part of the master class of Professor Anton Lehmden at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste Wien. She received numerous grants and awards and has been fellow of the Villa Massimo in Rome in 1984. Her works were exhibited at „WACK!: Art and the Feminist Revolution“ at the MOCA Los Angeles amongst others. Her work marks a fundamental reference point in the art of the 1970s and 1980s.
